Have you thought about a twilight wedding?

Want the glamour of an elegant venue but keen to keep the costs down? A twilight wedding could be in your stars.

Now that celebrants are available to perform early evening ceremonies, you can take the opportunity to gather your friends and relatives as the sun goes down for a relaxing drink before your magical wedding and then enjoy an evening of entertainment, food and dancing.

It’s a fantastic alternative to a day long event. If your wedding is midweek, guests can avoid using annual leave from work and you can save on meal costs, offering one splendid feast in the evening.

The twilight ceremony and reception at Wivenhoe House starts at £3,600 for 55 adults. This includes use of the luxury ceremony room in the main Grade II listed house and the garden suite for the evening celebration. Prosecco, Buck’s Fizz or orange juice is provided  for the drinks reception, and there is Prosecco for your toast. White linen, chair covers, crockery, cutlery, glassware and cake knife are all included.

There’s a choice of a hot and cold finger buffet menu and the newly married couple can enjoy a night in one of our luxurious suites, followed by breakfast the next day.

As with all our weddings, you are guaranteed the personal attention of our talented wedding team, from your first visit through to the last dance.
