Choosing the right venue space is just as important as choosing the right dress. Whether you want to walk down an aisle overlooking the beautiful parklands, or exchange vows in a lovingly restored 18th- century space, Wivenhoe House Hotel has a venue to suit all styles- come and see for yourself on one of our next Open Days.

The Gazebo

Our beautiful garden gazebo is located on the sunken lawn, and is perfect for a wedding in the summer season. Take advantage of the sunshine and longer daylight hours to snap some stunning wedding photos in the historic parklands, with our famous cork oak trees providing the perfect backdrop for the special occasion.

With the option of decorating the gazebo to suit your personal style and taste, there’s plenty of stunning views to be appreciated while you and your partner focus on celebrating your special day.

The Garden Suite

If you prefer light and airy spaces, then our Garden Suite is sure to deliver. The Garden Suite offers three spacious rooms, whose removable partition walls are perfect for letting you and your partner design the ultimate wedding space

Get together with our friendly team of wedding planners to explore the many ways in which this unique space can be used. Designate one room for the main ceremony and the remaining two for the wedding breakfast, or give yourself more space to share your first kiss and walk down the aisle as a married couple- the choice is yours.

Got more guests coming than you first expected? No problem! We offer the option of hosting the really important bit (your ceremony!) in the more traditional Drawing Room or one of our timeless Signatures, allowing the Garden Suite to host up to 110 guests for the following wedding breakfast.

For an evening reception to beat all evening receptions, we can accommodate up to 150 guests in the Garden Suite, so no need to be shy with the invites!

If you and your partner are leaning towards a more traditional style of wedding, look no further than our stunning Signatures Room. Its high-ceilings and large windows overlooking the parklands certainly won’t leave you or any of your guests feeling claustrophobic on the day, with plenty of space to celebrate the happy couple.

After the ceremony, let your guests relax and enjoy some fizz in the Drawing Room, an equally beautiful space to spend some quality time with friends and family. For longer guest lists, both of these rooms are available to hire together as a single package. However, if you’re hoping for a more intimate celebration, our Signatures Room is the one to book- with space for up to 60 guests.

The Drawing Room

Ever thought about sharing your first kiss as a married couple in the warm glow of a roaring fire? Our Drawing Room can offer just that.

Light and airy with large bay windows overlooking our beautiful parklands, the Drawing Room is an ideal space for couples with a taste for traditional design. In true Wivenhoe House style, this space is filled with lovingly restored 18th- century features, not to mention the fabulous fireplace sitting at the heart of the room.

During the warmer months, the Drawing Room offers special access to our impressive terrace, the ideal location for sharing a few bottles of fizz at your drinks reception.
