Celebrate Mother’s Day at Wivenhoe House by treating mum to a traditional roast dinner in the brasserie.
Mother’s Day – Sunday 31 March
Dating back to just before Wivenhoe House was built, Mothering Sunday was celebrated annually on the fourth Sunday of Lent (the 40 day period leading up to Easter) to honour mothers. After a prayer service in church to honour the Virgin Mary, children brought gifts and flowers to pay tribute to their own mothers.

Open all day from noon, serving traditional roasts through to the old time favourites such as hand battered fish and chips we have a dish to suit all tastes.
