Will & Lorraine

Our wedding day was absolutely magical, and we could not have asked for a better or more perfect day. Staff were friendly and attentive, and the location was beautiful- our guests really enjoyed the gardens and flowers in bloom.

After being let down by their previous venue, Will and Lorraine arranged to revisit and discuss the options with our award winning wedding planner, Pheobe.

They had always been drawn to Wivenhoe House Hotel, some may say it was meant to be.

 Since changing venues, the whole process had felt effortless and a total joy; all of our messages were answered quickly and thoroughly, with the opportunity to meet, as an anxious couple who were not treated well previously, this meant so much.

Seventy friends joined Will and Lorraine on their special day for a delicious three-course wedding breakfast, with more guests arriving in the evening for their party with a live DJ.

Staff were friendly and attentive, and the location was beautiful- our guests really enjoyed the gardens and flowers in bloom. Everyone went above and beyond to make sure we had the best day possible, and we really did

Will and Lorraine chose to put a unique spin on their wedding cake, having it made by Essex Cake Shop in the design of the Disney castle.

Pheobe was a dream co-ordinator. Louise and Samm, along with the rest of the team absolutely knocked it out of the park..

Christy & Ryan

Many of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was and how well organised the day was.

After a detailed consultation with one of our Wedding Planners, Christy and Ryan knew exactly where to go to choose the perfect dress and floral arrangements. Having shared their ideal colour scheme, we were able to recommend the best places for the couple to create the ideal aesthetic for their special day.

We just wanted to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude for everything you did to make our wedding day absolutely flawless. From the big picture to the tiniest details, your eye for perfection was evident.

Christy & Ryan were keen to inject an element of fun into the proceedings, providing a live singer & Ibiza style party vibes to start off their evening reception.

We loved our venue, they sold us our dream wedding and boy did they deliver! We will always cherish everything they did to make our dream day come true.

Lewis and Kelsey’s Wedding

When we were looking for a wedding venue we wanted a venue that was close to Colchester, had accommodation for guests to stay and somewhere that we could do a twilight wedding with a BBQ. Wivenhoe House Hotel ticked all of these boxes..

Kelsey and Lewis had their initial showaround with one of the Wedding planning team at 11am and  had received the quote by 1pm. They made a couple of amendments and received the updated quote on the same day. Being that efficient, meant  that Wivenhoe House Hotel was the right choice for them. 

The great thing about Wivenhoe House Hotel is that everything is under one roof. Once the ceremony was over, we had drinks & canapes on the lawn, whilst we had photographs taken, it gave us the chance to really spend time with all our guests.

Keen to play up their early summer wedding, Kelsey and Lewis worked closely with our Wedding Planners and opted for a barbecue and plenty of summer drinks to keep it light and refreshing. They had their guests join them in the evening for an unforgettable party. 

On our wedding day every member of staff was fantastic, incredibly professional and made sure that we were looked after the whole day
