Stars in your eyes at your twilight wedding

What could be more romantic than a candlelit wedding ceremony as the sun sets?

Now that civil wedding services can be performed up to 7.00 pm, Wivenhoe House is pleased to offer a twilight ceremony and evening reception option. This is not only a romantic celebration, but can be a cheaper one too.

Our special twilight wedding cost from £3,600 for a minimum of 55 adult guests, including the ceremony in our beautiful drawing room or in our new gazebo on the sunken lawn.

Working with your dedicated wedding planner at Wivenhoe House, choose a hot or cold finger buffet, and your choice of chair covers in our Garden Suite function room. The price includes reception welcome drink, sparkling toast and a suite for the married couple on the night of the wedding, including breakfast the next morning.

Evening wedding celebrations are becoming increasingly popular as couples look to make the most of their budget and appreciate how time-stretched friends and relatives can be.

This increasingly popular option may well win favour with some of your guests who can avoid having to take a whole day off work.

After an early evening ceremony you can welcome your guests to a delicious Wivenhoe House wedding breakfast and then perhaps choose to dance into the night. You may even find more people are prepared to get up and boogie at night, rather than mid-afternoon!

Twilight weddings and receptions are available on Mondays and Tuesdays and on selected late availability dates booking no more than four months in advance.  Add a half bottle of house wine for an extra £9.50 per person. Additional guests are from £35.00.
