September 2018 Newsletter

All of the latest news, offers and events from Wivenhoe House in September 2018

2018 has been officially declared England’s hottest summer ever and here at Wivenhoe House we are determined to make the most of the remaining weeks of sunshine.

This Sunday, 9 September, we are looking forward to welcoming artists to our grounds for our annual Heritage Open Day, giving everyone the opportunity to commit to canvas their own interpretation of Constable’s Wivenhoe Park. The grounds open at 9am and parking, as always, is free.

We’re sticking with the great outdoors on Thursday 13 September when we screen The Greatest Showman at 7.30pm. Enjoy this wonderful musical film in this magical parkland setting.

Our next wedding open morning is on Sunday 16 September when the entire hotel, including our beautiful gazebo, will be dressed in its finery and our expert wedding team will be on hand to help you arrange your perfect day.

And to toast the arrival of autumn, on Friday 28 September we are hosting a Venetian wine dinner, steering you through some of the beautiful wines from this stunning region of Italy as you enjoy a suitably themed dinner.

Before we know it, we’ll be counting down to 2019 and where better to celebrate than Wivenhoe House with plans for our gala dinner already well underway.
