Celebrate Mothering Sunday by treating your Sunday Lunch in the brasserie including wine and a gift
Sunday 26 March 2017
Dating back to just before Wivenhoe House was built, Mothering Sunday was celebrated annually on the fourth Sunday of Lent (the 40 day period leading up to Easter) to honor mothers. After a prayer service in church to honor Virgin Mary, children brought gifts and flowers to pay tribute to their own mothers.
Join us here at Wivenhoe House this year to celebrate Mothering Sunday with a relaxed afternoon tea or meal in the brasserie
