We’re putting on the Sparkle

With the nation still celebrating the stunning Royal Wedding we are looking forward to our next wedding open morning on Sunday 24 June.   There’s a glass of bubbly for every guest to enjoy as they tour our beautiful hotel which will be decorated fit for any princess, or duchess!

Glittering occasion

Forty of our Edge Hotel School students are still floating on cloud nine having worked at Windsor during the Royal Wedding. They made the most of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and even made it onto BBC Look East TV News.

Final countdown

There are a few seats left for the Final Feast, our action-packed Murder Mystery dinner themed on Game of Thrones, next Friday 8 June. Sit back and enjoy a Knight of crime.

Summer sizzler

Keep an eye out for our exciting summer offer, offering stays at Wivenhoe House at sizzling hot prices. It may just be the excuse you need to escape to Constable country.

Cheers to gin

We’re looking forward to our next Gin Dinner on Friday 27 July. Our restaurant team has created an excellent menu to highlight the wonderful gin flavours that have been selected for the drinks, beginning with gin cocktails served on our sunken lawn.

Award season

We were delighted to win the Opentable Diners’ Choice award for both the brasserie and our afternoon tea. Thank you to everyone who voted for us. We are also one of three finalists in the Hospitality Assured 20th anniversary award, focussing on excellence, collaboration and making a difference.  The winner will be announced later this month.

Art event

We will be opening up the grounds of Wivenhoe House for the national Heritage Open Day on Sunday 9 September when we are inviting artists to set up their easels and create their own Constable-style masterpiece. Contact hleath@essex.ac.uk for more details
