Tonight you won’t just honour the dead… you’ll join them!
The “Día de Muertos” (Day of the Dead) celebration is a time of year when you offer gifts to the deceased. Sugar skulls, dripping candles and tequila adorn the table and accompany a whodunit with a spicy twist. When our cast of charmed cadavers attempt to make contact with “the other side” they make a grave error.
More trick… more treat…

We had a fantastic evening, enjoyed every minute of a hilarious Murder Mystery. The food was excellent, the service and attention to detail from all the staff was exceptional. Lovely room (we had a balcony ) Breakfast was an absolute feast. Will definitely revisit 10/10.

Positive: We occupied a lovely room on the second floor in the modern part of the hotel, with a balcony overlooking the wildlife garden, two enormous, ancient cork oak trees and the cricket pitch. The night was hot but we were kept cool with an exceptionally efficient tower fan. The bed was very comfortable and the seating cosy. We received very courteous treatment from all staff and really enjoyed our stay. The purpose of our visit was to attend a Murder Mystery Event at the hotel, which was absolutely brilliant! We’ll definitely stay again and are hoping they’ll put on a Christmas-themed Murder Mystery -hint -hint!. Negative: Absolutely nothing – all good.

We got married at Wivenhoe House and it really was the best day of our lives. Katie and the events team catered for our every need and we were treated like royalty for the day. Beautiful house and surroundings. We’ve been back for a murder mystery meal on Halloween and several meals in the Brasserie which offered exceptional quality food and fantastic service. The afternoon tea is great value for money and delicious! Strongly recommend Wivenhoe House!
