Christmas Wreath Making Workshops

We are delighted to welcome you along to our wreath making masterclass where you will learn how to make your very own luxury Christmas door wreath.

Using lots of gorgeous winter foliage, we will teach you how to create and decorate your wreath, using a range of natural decorations such as pine cones, cinnamon sticks, orange slices as well as baubles and similar decorations. You can also add bows and lights to it too if you wish!

Monday 25th November 

Morning Class – 9.45am-12pm – £55 – coffee/tea/water – breakfast pastry & mince pie

Afternoon Class – 1pm-3.15pm – £55 – coffee/tea/water – cake slice & mince pie

Evening Class – 7pm-9.45pm – £62 Prosecco/soft drink/coffee/tea/water – small buffet

Tuesday 26th November 

Morning Class – 10.30am – 12.45pm£70 – Including Festive Afternoon Tea at 1pm. 

Evening Class  – 7-10pm –  £62 Prosecco/soft drink/coffee/tea/water – small buffet.

Morning Class

Due to the time allocation for the morning class, we will teach you how to wire and add in lots of different winter foliage’s to a wreath already shaped with blue pine.

Afternoon & Evening Class

Making your wreath from scratch, you will learn how to moss the wire framework and bind blue pine and winter foliage’s around it to create your wreath base.

Everything you need to create your wreath will be provided, including coffee, tea, soft drinks, croissants, cakes & mince pies supplied by the wonderful Wivenhoe House Hotel.

By car:

Whether approaching Wivenhoe House from London and the South or Ipswich and the North via the A12, take the exit marked Colchester (A133). Follow the A133 towards Clacton, ignore the entrance to the Knowledge Gateway, continue along the A133 then take the B1028 for Wivenhoe before turning right into Boundary Road, then right again into Park Road. The entrance for Wivenhoe House is shared with the University of Essex but Park Road leads you through Wivenhoe Park and you will be able to see the glorious house from the road.

By train:

Colchester station, Colchester Town station, Wivenhoe station and Hythe stations are all between 10-15 minutes from Wivenhoe House by car. Trains run between London (Liverpool Street) and Colchester station every 10-20 minutes. The journey takes around an hour. Also connect with Colchester from Norwich, Ipswich, Felixstowe & Harwich. Some trains from London (Liverpool Street) also stop at Wivenhoe Station. When travelling from the Clacton/Walton direction, alight at Wivenhoe or Hythe Stations.

By plane:

Stansted airport is approximately 45 minutes from Wivenhoe House by car. Helicopter pad coordinates are 603200/223900.
