Wivenhoe House hotel and the Edge Hotel School have both made the shortlists in the leading hospitality industry awards.
General Manager at Wivenhoe House Oliver Brown is in the final three for Manager of the Year and Principal at the Edge Hotel School, Andrew Boer, is in the final four for the Education and Training Award in The Cateys 2017 arranged each year by The Caterer magazine.
The Cateys are the biggest awards of their kind in the hospitality industry, recognising the strongest performers and highest flyers in this flourishing industry.
Oliver said: “It’s an absolute honour to be among the finalists for this award. It’s a tribute to the fantastic team at Wivenhoe House and the work we have put in to make the hotel the success it is today.
Andrew is equally pleased at having made the shortlist and is looking forward to the gala awards evening on 4 July. He said: “The Edge Hotel School commands a tremendous amount of respect from our colleagues in the hospitality industry. Our degree course is at the forefront of innovation in hospitality education and I am delighted to receive this recognition.”
